Maya Krieger (any pronouns) is a research assistant working on collecting indicators for both the BIG and Jean Monnet database projects. She was raised and lives on unceded Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, and səlilwətaɬ territories (Vancouver) and received her degree, a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology, at UVic in 2024. She is now pursuing a dual master’s degree in Archival Studies & Library and Information Studies at the University of British Columbia.
Her research interests include community archival practices, critical archival and library studies, ethnographic film, film preservation, queer liberation movements, lesbian history, popular struggle, and archival activism.
