The Humanitarian and Migration Crisis in Europe: A challenge for EU borders? workshop launched the Jean Monnet Network Comparing and Contrasting EU Border and Migration Policy – Are They Exemplary?  The workshop was hosted and organized by network partner Birte Wassenburg at the University of Strasbourg and brought together a select group of border and migration experts from the region to discuss the internal borders of Europe. This workshop will be followed by a second work in Brussels in November 2017 on external borders, organized by Network partner Can Mutlu at Acadia University (formerly Bilkent University).
