A workshop on “Infrastructure for Border Integration: The Case of Latin America” will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, via Zoom. The meeting will take place at 9 am GMT-6 (CDMX, Costa Rica) – 8 am GMT-7 (Vancouver, Canada).
The workshop focuses on analyzing cases of cross-border infrastructure in Latin America to deepen our understanding of how Latin American countries collaborate to achieve greater continental integration. One of the workshop’s focal points will be “fiscal solidarity,” which includes cases of shared infrastructure between countries where one contributes more than the other and the fiscal agreement that has led to this “asymmetry” of responsibilities.
The workshop will last two hours, featuring lectures and a discussion panel led by Dr. Emmanuel Brunet-Jailly and the Secretary General of ARFE, Martín Guillermo.
